Sagacity Legal is thrilled to share some exciting news that will help us better support your innovations and business growth. We are expanding with the launch of our new IP Transactions practice. This practice will be led by our newly appointed Head of IP Transactions, Jess Ergmann! This is a significant milestone for the firm as it expands its footprint into life sciences, strategic transactions, and complex commercialization.
Jess brings over 13 years of experience to the role. Her most recent position as Associate Director of Legal in the Office of Strategic Alliances and Partnering at the Broad Institute. A recognized leader in the IP community, she currently serves as Vice Chair of the IP Transactions Committee for the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). Her expertise in navigating high-stakes collaboration and license agreements for life-saving medical technologies will be the cornerstone of Sagacity’s new IP Transactions practice.
The appointment also marks a professional reunion. Randi and Jess have shared a 13-year mentoring relationship. They have collaborated extensively throughout their careers.
A note from Jess: “Randi’s vision for Sagacity has always been rooted in technical excellence and a client-first mindset. Building this new practice on the foundation of a 13-year partnership allows us to offer something truly unique: a blend of deep engineering and life sciences expertise with the strategic vision to drive commercial growth. We are stronger together.”
A note from Randi: “Jess is a powerhouse in the IP world. Her ability to bridge the gap between complex legal strategy and business-focused outcomes is unparalleled. I am thrilled to welcome her to the leadership team.”
We look forward to continuing to support your business.
